Roller Alignment Device
Eastern Applied Research, Inc is now offering
a Digital-Nip Device for easier roller alignment...
This Digital-Nip Device is a powerful new system that allows for quick and easy diagnosis of roller conditions - the nip contact point. With minimal investment, and no prior experience, a user can quickly and accurately record spot nip (contact point between rollers) width at any section of your web or sheetfed process.
The devices sensing capability is fast and sensitive - it will eliminate carbon papers time consuming and inaccurate nip measurements. Now nip readings can be determined instantaneously and adjustments can be made while the sensor is between your rolls! Digital-Nip measuring is also economical as the sensor elements that connect to the device provide thousands of readings before replacement is needed.
Details of the digital on-press roller Nip measuring gauge:
- Displays immediate measurement of roller nip
- Dual sensor system indicates "parallelism" of roller to roller contact zone
- Utilizes "sensor strip" technology
- Users can do roller adjustments while the sensors are in the nip
- No ink water rolls are needed
- Saves time (and money) in roller maintenance
- Suitable for any roller-to-roller Nip (except metal to metal)
- Accuracy at +/- 5%
Benefits summary of the Digital-Nip Measurement unit:
- Helps improve quality and consistency
- Saves hours of maintenance time (and associated costs)
- Can extend the life of rollers
- Reduces costly downtime
- Sensor strips provide thousands of readings before needing replacement
